Production Notes

One of the 24 hour horror film challenges, 2004, this was our first Oddball Challenge. On Saturday 2nd October five of us turned up at UGC Shaftsbury Avenue to receive our genre and title. The team consisted of many Two Bells regulars with Jonty Reason and Maye Choo in front of the camera and Keith Arnold, Richard Mosley and Tobias Tobbell behind it.

It was not too stressful, in hind sight a pretty cliché film (but how incredible is a script written in 3 hours?). 24 hours after being given our title we handed in this five minute film, along with a whole load of other teams from around the UK.

We were fortunate enough to get into the top 10 finalists of the 100 or so films submitted. Two weeks later the film was premiered at the 12th Raindance Film Festival in West London. It was also released on DVD alongside the other finalists in 2004. Our first venture into film competition was a relative success. This was to be the first of many (competitions, not relative successes).

About

Our central character is asked to investigate a virus spreading internet site called, yes, 'Informatica'. But once he's gone to this unusual site some bizarre things begin to happen in the house over the same night. He informs another person of the site and gives up on it for the time being, retiring to his bedroom. However one of the previous victims of the site manages to temporarily escape it - her only goal to drag one more soul into her silicon world.
